The Master in Digital and Public History (MADiPH) at the University of Luxembourg opens its applications on 1 February for the first promotion starting in September 2024. It complements the academic offer in history alongside the Master in Contemporary European History.
MADiPH offers a unique training combining digital and public history, equipping students with practical skills to make history more attractive. The programme, led by Prof. Thomas Cauvin and Prof. Sandra Camarda, will be offered by the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, in partnership with the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History.
It combines theory and practice, including local and international collaborative projects. The courses cover various topics, such asoral history, archiving, historical communication, audiovisual production and video games.
Graduates may consider careers in cultural institutions, tourism, media production and public administration, or even pursue a PhD. The programme, together with international networks, offers opportunities for exchange and collaboration with partners such as the Ca’Foscari University in Venice.
With a maximum capacity of 15 students, each participant receives personalised support in choosing their courses and traineeships, reflecting the university’s commitment to quality training
