Since 2021, the Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub (L-DIH), managed by Luxinnovation, has been organising the L-DIH ON TOUR initiative, which helps accelerate the uptake of emerging technologies in the manufacturing ecosystem.
On the occasion of the L-DIH On Tour 2024, Serge Linckels, Director General of the Digital Learning Hub (DLH), highlights the importance of the collaboration between the DLH and the Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub (L-DIH) to meet the growing training needs in the digital age. The collaboration between DLH and L-DIH aims to align the training offered with the specific needs of companies, particularly in the manufacturing sector. Through this cooperation, DLH adapts and develops training programs to meet market requirements, covering areas such as cybersecurity, sensor technology, and design thinking.
The DLH will present its catalogue of more than 250 training courses, gather feedback and adjust its offers accordingly. A major challenge is to adapt these programmes for technical operators with little IT expertise.
As part of the Industry 4.0 initiative, the DLH also focuses on re-skilling individuals into IT professions and updating the skills of professionals in emerging and regulatory fields. To accompany Luxembourg’s digital transformation, the DLH strives to include all businesses, including those that are less advanced in the digital field. The ‘Everyday IT’ programme, launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Digitalisation, aims to provide fundamental digital training to help these businesses and citizens catch up in the digital transition. The DLH hopes to present this initiative in detail during the tour, which includes 11 stops in manufacturing companies, partner organizations and technical schools.
In short, this collaboration strengthens the innovation and competitiveness of Luxembourg companies by preparing them for the challenges of the digital transformation.
