The Luxembourg Tech School (LTS) is a unique after-school educational programme designed to train the next generation of Digital Leaders in Luxembourg, with a focus on technology, creativity and entrepreneurship.
Concept
The ambition of the LTS is not only to train programmers, but digital leaders capable of combining Technology, Creativity and Business to solve concrete problems. The programme is based onproject-based learning (https://www.techschool.lu/projects). Students work on their own innovative projects, are encouraged to explore and receive personalized coaching. The creed is: "Get it done". The LTS aims to be accessible to all young people in Luxembourg. The programmes are completely free of charge (with the support of the Ministry and private partners) and no coding requirements are required. A computer is provided to the student for the year if needed.
The LTS teaches how technology (which is evolving very fast) can be used not only to code, but to solve concrete problems for business and society, or to create new business and artistic opportunities. Students acquire a dual perspective, the business side and the creative side, essential to become a creator and complete digital leader.
In this program, a personalized coach is there to provide all the necessary information and support throughout the process. This support covers all aspects: ideas, technology, graphics, user experience (UX), strategy or even marketing. Moreover, the learning environment strikes the right balance between coaching and freedom of exploration to create real digital products or services.
