To help bridge the digital skills gap in Europe, the European Commission, together with National stakeholders, has created the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform, the new home of high-quality information, initiatives and resources on digital skills from across Europe. The Platform will become a unique reference point for digital skills, enabling all Europeans – citizens, businesses and public organisations – to make the most of the digital transformation.

Alongside the Digital Europe Programme and the European Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition, the Platform will play a key role in achieving the targets set within the Digital Decade strategy: 80% of Europeans with basic digital skills and 20 million employed digital technology experts by 2030. This will be complemented by reforms and investments taking place at the national level across Europe, triggered by the Recovery and Resilience Facility.

Funded by the Connecting Europe Facility, the Platform brings together a diverse group of digital skills stakeholders from every country in Europe, all in one place for the first time – the Digital Skills & Jobs Community. The Platform will help them access funding opportunities, find project partners, share content and resources, and network with peers and experts.

In a nutshell, the Platform offers:

The rollout of the Platform is just the beginning of the progressive development of the content and features and the ongoing growth of its community over the coming years. In the near future, smart functionalities such as a self-assessment tool, multilingual content and online courses will make it easy for anyone to find the right resource from the best available online today. Digital SkillUp, a key part of the Platform’s learning pillar providing easy-to-follow courses on emerging technologies, will also be introduced soon.
