Meet and Code 2024 is an initiative to promote digital literacy among young people.
Supported by SAP, Haus des Stiftens gGmbH and local partners of TechSoup Europe, it encourages associations to organize programming workshops for young people aged 8 to 24. Associations can obtain grants of up to EUR 500 to finance their projects, which must be in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Themes promoted include diversity, reducing inequalities and technological innovation.
Participants must come up with innovative and inclusive ideas to make programming accessible to all. Workshops can cover a variety of topics, such as robotics, video game creation and online security. In addition to grants, Meet and Code offers resources and educational tools to help associations succeed in their projects. Registration will close on 14 September and the workshops will take place during the European Code Week from 9 to 24 October.
Interested associations can get more information and register by visiting the Socialware website. This initiative aims to inspire a new generation of young coders and promote the importance of digital skills in modern society.
