STEP 1: Online Games
The first step to accessing 42 is to register on our website and play a series of online games. These games are based on logic and last about 2 hours. You need to achieve them on your own, as self-learning and independent thinking are one of the key ingredients for success at 42.
If you succeed, we will invite you to the check-in, an on-site orientation meeting in Belval and sometimes online, with other candidates.
STEP 2: Check-in
During this visit, you will be able to learn more about the programme, meet staff and other future learners, and ask any questions you wish.
STEP 3: The swimming pool
The next and final step in the application process is the Pool, a 4-week trial period designed to help you familiarise yourself with the 42 pedagogical model, while determining whether you are a good candidate for 42. You’ll swim in code and learn how to collaborate to solve problems. The Pool includes basic C programming exercises such as programming functions, variables, loops, conditions, and memory management. You must take the courses full-time.
STEP 4: Let’s go!
After evaluating the results of the Pool, successful candidates will be contacted a few days later and will be invited to start their course shortly thereafter.
