The World Economic Forum’s recently published “Future of Jobs Report 2023” sheds light on the imminent changes in the job market and underscores the importance of swift adaptation to actively participate in the transformation.

The report emphasises that automation and artificial intelligence (AI) have the potential to revolutionize business operations, thereby impacting the workforce and leading to the emergence and disappearance of certain roles. Consequently, organisations must take essential steps to address these changes.

First and foremost, organizations must invest in continuous training for their workforce. This includes upgrading employees’ skills, providing training in new AI tools, and redirecting training pathways towards “human-driven” skills. Additionally, organizations should pay special attention to enhancing the employee experience, which can be redesigned with the aid of these new tools.

As technologies like AI blur the differences between competing businesses, organisations need to prioritize building personal and emotional connections with their customers.
