On behalf of the European Commission, the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform is hosting a new Info Day online event on 12 March 2024 at 10:30 AM (CET). Join the event to discover the new Calls on Advanced Digital Skills, learn more about the application and evaluation procedures and ask your questions directly to the European Commission!
About the Calls
-
The Digital Skills and Jobs Platform: the call aims to address the digital skills gap in Europe by establishing new National Coalitions and websites in Member States who don’t have any yet, as well as further developing existing National Coalitions and websites. These platforms will facilitate the exchange of digital skills and job-related information between national and EU levels, helping individuals access training opportunities and enabling businesses to identify skills needs. This initiative aligns with the Digital Decade Policy Programme’s targets for 2030, supporting the digitization of key economic sectors to contribute to Europe’s broader digital transformation.
-
Girls and Women in Digital: the call targets women’s under-representation in ICT professions. With Europe falling short of the Digital Decade policy’s goal of having 80% of Europeans possess basic digital skills, this action aims to enhance girls’ and women’s involvement in ICT. It also contributes to another Digital Decade Policy Programme target: having 20 million ICT specialists in the Union by 2030. Recognizing the pivotal role of girls and women in Europe’s digital future, this action underscores the importance of increasing female participation in the ICT sector.
The calls for Digital Skills and Jobs Platform and Girls and Women in Digital will be published on the official Funding and Tenders Portal and the submission of applications will close on 29 May 2024 at 17:00 Brussels time.
