BEE SECURE is a government initiative of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, implemented by the National Youth Service (SNJ)and the KJT (Kanner-Jugendtelefon), in collaboration with Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity, the Lëtzebuerg Police and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Also co-financed by the European Commission, BEE SECURE benefits from the involvement of the Ministries of National Education, Children and Youth, the Economy and Family and Integration.

This initiative aims to raise awareness of safer and responsible use of digital technologies among the general public. It focuses on strengthening the knowledge and skills of children, young people and those around them (parents, teachers, educators and others) through targeted offers. BEE SECURE disseminates information and advice through various offers and activities, with a focus on awareness-raising training. BEE SECURE’s diverse publications cover a wide range of topics, from the basics of online security to more complex issues such as data protection and cyber risk management.

The initiative also regularly launches thematic campaigns and organises events to promote cybersecurity and online security. These campaigns aim to inform and educate the public about the potential dangers of the internet and to promote safe behaviour. As a member of the European networks INSAFE, which brings together awareness centres, and INHOPE, which focuses on reporting illegal content, this initiative is committed to promoting cybersecurity and online security in Luxembourg.

BEE SECURE activities include interactive workshops for young people, information sessions for parents and educators, as well as online resources accessible to all. These efforts are designed to create a culture of digital security where everyone can browse the internet with confidence. BEE SECURE also works with schools and community organizations to expand the reach of its educational programs and ensure that key messages about online safety reach as wide an audience as possible.
