The historic collaboration between ALFI (Luxembourg Association of Investment Funds) and LHoFT (Luxembourg House of Financial Technology) marks a turning point in the Luxembourg financial landscape. Together, these two major players initiated the Catapult FUNDTECH 360 programme, an ambitious initiative designed to catalyse the adoption of the latest FinTechs within the asset management industry.
At present, the Luxembourg asset management sector is about to undergo a significant digital transformation. Businesses are facing increasing pressure to comply with strict regulations, often resulting in tedious manual processes and operational challenges. In this context, innovation becomes not only an attractive option but also a necessity to remain competitive in the global market.
Fintech startups are key players in this transformation. They provide innovative and agile solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and meet growing customer demands for personalised and accessible financial services.
The Catapult FUNDTECH 360 program aims to bridge the gap between traditional work practices and the latest technological advances. By identifying the critical needs of the fund industry and connecting fintech startups that can effectively address them, this programme creates an environment conducive to innovation and collaboration. The FundTech 360° program is a dynamic two-week bootcamp for Fintech companies in the post-creation phase.
The Catapult programme: FundTech 360° will host 10 promising Fintech companies in this edition in Luxembourg.
The selected participants will typically have a strong affinity with the Luxembourg financial centre (B2B fintech companies) and will specifically focus on providing innovative solutions related to governance workflows, Cyber/Risk management, ESG data management and AI/ML-driven processes, leveraging technologies such as Blockchain and Big Data, aligning with the strategic interests of the financial services ecosystem.
Companies selected to participate in FUNDTECH 360 will benefit from an intensive pathway including a mentoring and development bootcamp. This programme will enable them to refine their solutions, develop their skills and prepare for market challenges.
lInaugural edition of Catapult: Fundtech 360 starts on Monday, March 11, 2024 and ends on Friday, March 22, 2024. The first week of immersive learning will take place virtually, followed by a week of enriched on-site interactions at LHoFT’s premises in Luxembourg, fostering a mix of flexibility and deep engagement.
At the end of the programme, all participants will present their pitches to a jury at the ALFI conference.
The ALFI Global Asset Management conference in March 2024 will be an opportunity to present the results of this programme. The winning fintechs will have the unique opportunity to present their solutions to an audience of more than 600 fund experts, giving them invaluable visibility and opportunities for strategic partnership.
Catapult FUNDTECH 360 represents an important step towards a more innovative and competitive future for the Luxembourg asset management sector.
