The Minister of Defence is delighted to organise a 2-day conference (25-26 April 2023) on Autonomous Weapons Systems at the Maison des Arts et des Etudiants.

The conference aims to raise public awareness and offer all stakeholders (governments, industry, civil society and academia) a platform to discuss the challenges and risks associated with using Autonomous Weapons systems.

Keynote speech by Dr. Paul Scharre, the award-winning author of the bestseller Army of None: Autonomous Weapons and the Future of War and the new book Four Battlegrounds: Power in the Age of Artificial Intelligence. You can attend the reception in the first evening and listen to the panel discussions on the 2nd day of the event to learn more about hot topics including technical challenges, impact on the military, ethical considerations and governance frameworks for Autonomous Weapon Systems.
