Digital Europe is an EU funding programme aimed at building the EU’s strategic digital capacities and facilitating the wide deployment of digital technologies and their inclusion in businesses, citizens and public administrations.
The Programme aims to boost investments in supercomputing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced digital skills and ensure wide use of digital capacity across the economy and society. Its overall objective is to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness and the green transition towards climate neutrality by 2050 and to ensure technological sovereignty.
With a planned total budget of EUR 7.5 billion (in current prices), the programme will accelerate the economic recovery and shape the digital transformation of Europe’s society and economy, benefiting all but especially SMEs.
